About Me

I’m passionate about helping people change their relationships with themselves and with others.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I grew up in South Dakota and completed a Bachelor’s Degree at Augustana College. I have more than 15 years of specialized experience, training, and supervision in treating anger management, mood disorders, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relationship problems, marital distress, and personality disorders.

I have advanced training and supervision in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and am working toward certification. I also have advanced training and supervision in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I’ve completed level one training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I also have experience working in community mental health and with young adults aging out of the foster care system. I am a member of the International Centre for Excellence in EFT, the National Association of Social Workers and The Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work. I enjoy all types of yoga, meditation and biking and love hanging out with my family. I live in Northern Virginia with my husband and two boys.
